The Central Panel is the main workspace for editing project files. It can contain several open tabs and each tab represents an editor corresponding to that file.
The types of editors that can be open in the Central Panel are:
- Layout Editor for visual layer arrangement.
- Set Editor for logical grouping or filtering.
- Data Source Editor for configuring linked data.
- Export Profile Editor for defining output formats.
Tab Behavior #
Selecting Tabs:
- Selecting a tab also selects that file, displaying its details in the Property Editor.
- Selecting a tab will set the active Undo / Redo history to that of the selected tab.
Closing Tabs:
- Closing a tab that is selected will select the next open tab.
- If there are no other tabs to select, then the Root Level will be selected by default.
- All tabs can be simulatenously closed using the “Windows” menu in the toolbar.
